Hand made, lamp worked glass dragonfly made with dichro glass. Dragonflies can be produced in any color combination.
The Dichroic Glass is produced in big vacuum chambers. During the 2 hour coating process, the walls of the chamber have to withstand a 128 Ton Pressure. Six seperate computers are controlling the process. A 10,000 Volt Beam Gun Vaporates a mix of quartz and metal oxides ina cruzibel inside the vacuum camber. While certain gases are emitted into the chamber by layering 15-30 coats of this vapor onto the glass, the different colors are achieved. The outcome of these colors also depend on the time, they are exposed to the beam gun. After this process the vapors mixed with the gases attach onto the glass surface in form of crystal structure.

The first dragonfly I ordered was lovely and elegant, but it unfortunately arrived with a broken wing. Seller was quick to respond and sent me a new one no charge which arrived safely and in tact! Great craftsmanship and great communication. Thank you!

Working with wgkglass was wonderful. I loved the dragonfly she was selling, but I did not want the loop. They were fabulous in working with me to get exactly what I wanted. They were very patient and sent me different pictures showing the different colors of the dragonfly wings. I was surprised by how fast they were able to get me my dragonfly with my custom requests. It is beautiful and is exactly like the image. At first I thought the price was a little high, but looking at other products available I came to realize if you want quality you need to be willing to pay a little more. The price reflects the quality of the piece. It is a gorgeous, delicate piece of art! Thank you for helping me create the accent piece in my powderroom!
